I am sitting in the hospital during Charlie's stay due to his viral infection. I am reading more stuff about Kris Allen since he has just won American Idol. In a magazine I see an article about him with a collage of different pictures including his wedding announcement. It was one of those 'Save the Dates'. I then see his wife's name...Katie O'Connell. Wait...what? Katie O'Connell? KATIE O'CONNELL?????!!!!!..........................At this point I can't remember much because it feels like someone just clobbered me in the face. Yep! That's right folks. I possibly could have done Kris Allen's wedding. My pictures would be up everywhere and it just might have been the boost I needed to put my business on the map. But NOPE!!! Not me!! I found out they went with Carper Creative, who are extremely talented people themselves and much more established, so I can't be mad at that. I guess its just one of those things that happens. Kris if you ever read this....could you please come to visit me at my home and let me do some awesome fun head shots of you for free! Not like you would need them free...but PLLLEEAAASSEEEE!!! I voted for you!;) Oh well, I still can't complain. I have a beautiful new son, and a wonderful wife. Still, my almost brush with fame......maybe next time eh?

My almost brush with fame
I had to share this with everyone. It was too painful not too. So here is the story. Last summer I am booking weddings and such when I get a call from a bride. She tells me her name is Katie O'Connell and she is getting married in September and wonders if I am available. At the time I was. However, this was all on a voicemail. So I called her back and left her a message. She calls me back and leaves me a message. Basically we play phone tag until finally I never hear from her again. It happens. Oh well! Now lets cut to present time!!!
